| hey...for those of you who still go to yorkland, we had a guy from evangel hall (downtown) come and speak to us at our Easter assembly. He was speaking about their newly built home that is used to assist homeless people. He also expressed the desire and need for funds to complete the project. Evangel Hall gives homeless people dignity, self-respect, sense of purposes, and senses of home which we all require as basic human needs; we also commonly take these for granted.
At my church (Knox Presbyterian Church, downtown), we are doing a 30 hr fast on friday on saturday this coming weekend to raise funds for Evangel Hall. We will also be participating in this event with other youthgroups within the downtown Presbytry area. To understand and empathize with the homeless, we are also doing community service hours at Evangel Hall (e.g. cleaning, running activities, etc).
The reason for this entry is to request, if you feel willing, sponsors to help raise money for Evangel Hall. If you would like to do so, just let me know (no pressure or obligations). Also, if you would want to join the Fast, that would be great; also, just let me know. Anyways, that's all for now....howz life you ask? schoolwork sums it up
